We were on a roll last week and flushed with pride as Dean delivered a box of luxury toilet roll to raffle prize winner Julia Twist (on the left) from Mawson Energy, of Staveley.
Dean Taylor Bathrooms donated the box of 48 rolls of Who Gives a Crap plastic-free paper as a prize in the annual Biz Quiz organised by and in aid of CADAS – the Cumbria Alcohol and Drug Advisory Service.
It was hard to WC how we could donate a whole bathroom but we were relieved to engage and help flush out the message that everyone can loo-s plastic, even on the bottom line.
Who Gives A Crap toilet paper is not only sustainable and plastic free but every purchase goes towards funding toilets in developing countries, so it’s our policy to share a roll of the good stuff with our clients upon completion of a bathroom project.
Leigh Williams (on the right), CEO of CADAS and a fellow member of BNI Kendal, said the quiz raised over £1,000 and she was delighted how many local businesses queued up to wipe out their quiz competition – as well as support a local organisation.
“It’s a brilliant feeling knowing that local businesses are aware of the great work the charity does to support people with substance dependency and that they are keen to support us by donating raffle prizes and attending our charity events,” she said.
“It’s great that Dean Taylor Bathrooms have such good cisterns in place that they can spend a penny for such a good cause, even if it is quite draining,” she definitely did not say.
